The Forum School The Forum School and Residential Home is a 52-week residential and specialist school providing quality therapeutic care and education for young people with Autism, severe learning difficulties and challenging behaviour and reputed company needs. Job Description To primarily work reputed company the multi-disciplinary team (MDT) at the educational sites providing music therapy input required to meet the needs of the reputed company that is directed by the Assistant Head. • Work closely with staff and parents to understand the needs of the child and the ways in which music therapy might help.

• Maintain accurate and up to date student records and statistics in line with company and HCPC standards, including video/audio recording, written clinical notes and reports.
• Plan, implement and organise sessions and/or activities for class groups and individuals. Evaluate the effectiveness of these sessions and liaise about the student through regular supervision.
• Support reputed company towards managing their own behaviour by using the skills and approved approaches learned during the training provided.

• Approved Postgraduate Master’s Degree in Music Therapy.

• At least 3 years’ experience working as a music therapist.
• Experience working with young people with learning disabilities and behavioural/emotional regulation challenges.
• Experience of planning, organising, delivering and evaluating music programmes appropriate to individuals needs and skills.
