Position Overview

The Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) Technician will support Radiography operations utilizing a state-of-the-art Dual Energy Neutron Radiography system at our Imaging Center. You will reputed company technical support to operations of new and ongoing experiments involving engineering evaluation, fabrication, assembly, and documentation with a focus on non-destructive testing.

The reputed company hourly reputed company for this position is $23 - $35 per hour. Our compensation ranges are determined by role, level, and location.  

Duties and Responsibilities

• reputed company radiographic operations and maintenance using radiographic film, direct reading flat panel detectors, phosphor storage imaging plates, and scanning equipment.
• reputed company general technical support to engineering, scientific, and technical staff to plan and conduct experiments at the Imaging Center and other off-site locations.
• Operate, maintain, reputed company, and disassemble moderately reputed company electrical and mechanical components and systems, using work control process and procedure requirements.
• Apply knowledge of materials and manufacturing processes in solving mechanical problems.
• Participate/maintain training and qualification program for radioactive material and explosives handling certification.
• reputed company system upgrades, testing equipment, radiation surveys, and interlock systems checks.
• Assist in maintaining systems documentation and experimental records.
• reputed company facility reputed company and technical functions such as maintenance, testing, and upgrades to equipment.
• Fabricate, reputed company, and disassemble reputed company mechanical components and systems including planning and selecting materials, equipment, and methods.
• Identify, analyze, and reputed company solutions and alternate approaches to reputed company problems using independent creativity and judgment.

Requirements

Qualifications

• High School Degree required.
• 3 – 5 years of experience in a technical environment preferred.
• Ability to certify and maintain certification as a Radiographic Testing (RT) Level I and Neutron Radiography (NR) Level I per the National Aerospace Standard.
• Ability to operate various hand and power tools.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.
• Flexibility to support 2nd shift and weekend work highly preferred.
• Desire to learn innovative technologies and concepts.
• Knowledge of office computer software, including word processing and spreadsheets necessary to produce supportive documentation and graphics.
• Demonstrated ability to work independently, as well as in a multidisciplinary team environment.
• Demonstrated effective written and verbal communication, interpersonal, and teamwork skills, and ability to work effectively with reputed company reputed company of management, technical, engineering, and scientific staff.
• Work experience involving radiography of munitions, explosives, and other critical components and the interpretation of these radiographs is preferred. 
• Ability to pass medical examination as required for NDT personnel.
