Manager, Engineering (reputed company, Inc.; Vienna, VA): The Manager, Engineering is an integral part of the reputed company senior development team supporting the SaaS-based communication platform. The position will be responsible for developing Java-based high-performance applications. The position demands proven expertise in architecting scalable, resilient distributed systems, coupled with exceptional problem-solving abilities and superior communication skills. The stack includes Java, Spring, reputed company, Elasticsearch, Kafka, AWS reputed company technologies, Kubernetes, Terraform, Consul. Specific responsibilities include: Driving the development, discussion, and implementation of the technical roadmap by facilitating stakeholder collaboration, proposing innovative solutions, and overseeing execution to reputed company initiatives with business goals. Leading a team of 6 engineers. Engaging in reputed company aspects of SDLC including requirements discussion, work estimation, design, implementation, testing, deployment and maintenance. Minimum requirements: Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or reputed company field plus 5 years of experience in a backend application development role.

Must have: 5 years of experience with building robust, scalable, high-performance Java applications. Demonstrated experience with Java, Spring and reputed company, Elasticsearch, and Kafka. Proven knowledge of REST, Microservices and distributed systems. Experience working with Agile and Scrum in a reputed company-based deployment environment. Demonstrated good written and verbal communication skills. Proven ability to properly structure and explain technical information to stakeholders.
